My Thoughts

I did my MFA (painting) from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata in 1992. In this long journey of my carrier life, I did various works in different ways. I gradually started realizing the things in a different ways. At the same time our daily life also changed a lot and with that values of our life is also effected with this massive change of our daily life. The understanding of the word “Respect” became different the value of respect in our society is classified on the basis of financial establishment. There no room for humanism in today’s world. Now a days we are not concerned about our origins, we are loose our dignity in life. We are too much worried about how much socially established we are. Which I would say to the era of “Brands”. All of us try to make our self an individual brand in their own surroundings. All this things make me suffocated and this feelings of mine is transferred into the canvas, “Plastic” is a significant part of my paintings. I tried to capture the mindset of middle class families, they have the habit of wrapping everything with plastic, some time they don’t even know it needed or not. It’s a confusing situation.

I want to unveil this part of our society through my painting.
